Harley-Davidson has been one of the most prestigious names in motorcycles and motorcycle accessories for decades, because they deliver high-quality products across the world. Harley-Davidson was one of only two American motorcycle companies to survive the depression, and they have focused on improving their products every day since. With multiple types of motorcycles, it is easy to see why Harley-Davidson has survived for years, despite the lapses in the economy.

Touring

Harley has produced six main motorcycle models, including motorcycles for touring. These bikes include the Road King, Road Glide, Street Glide and Electra Glide models. The distinguishable characteristic with touring motorcycles is their saddlebags, allowing you to bring along supplies during long trips. Some of the touring bikes went through a redesign in 2014, giving them a touchscreen entertainment system, Bluetooth, available GPS and SiriusXM, Text-to-Speech functionality, USB connectivity, and ABS with Reflex linked brakes.

Softail

Softail models focus on a traditional look, with their rear-wheel suspension hidden under the transmission like the hardtail choppers that were more popular in the 1960s and 1970s. With a few variations, these types of Harley-Davidson motorcycles predominantly focus on staying true to the classic style of previous Harley models.

Dyna

The Dyna models use a rubber-mounted engine to isolate engine vibration for a comfortable ride. Debuted in the 1980s, Dyna models had a narrow, XL-style front fork and front wheel until 2008. By 2012, models began including a the 103-cubic-inch upgrade. Popular Dyna models include the FXDB Sturgis, FXDB Daytona, FXD Super Glide, FXDC Super Glide Custom, FXDB Street Bob, and FXDL Low Rider.

Sportster

Sportster models were introduced in 1957, designed to be racing motorcycles on dirt and flat-track race courses. These motorcycles are meant to be lighter than the other models so that they easily maneuver on the course. In 2007, all Sportster motorcycles received an electronic fuel injection system. Sportster models include the XL50 Sportster (with only 2,000 models available for purchase), Nightster, and Iron 883.

Maintaining Your Motorcycle

To keep your Harley in the best condition possible, you should always see a registered dealer to make sure you get the superior Harley-Davidson parts and accessories you need. With a wide selection of customized options, choose accessories that show off your personal style and enhance the experience of riding your motorcycle. When it is time to hit the open road, put on your helmet, and see what your bike can do.
