Tempered Glass

Tempered glass is made in a controlled manner to create a glass that is stronger than conventional glass. When tempered glass breaks, it breaks into cubes that are less likely to cut a person than conventional glass.
Automotive Glass
Laminate glass is used in the windshield of a vehicle. Windshield glass is often struck by rocks and other road debris. The windshield protects the people in a vehicle from injury. Windshield glass is so strong that it actually works as an integral part of the crash resistance design of an automobile. Tempered glass is used in the windows and back glass of a vehicle, which are less likely than the windshield to be struck by road debris.
